Not being able to turn it off (or at least pause it) was one reason (though it occurred to me later that I could log out instead). The major reasons were a) it only allowed the evil "new" retweet method and b) the five minute update cycle is too slow (I'm impatient enough with UberTwitter's 2-minute updates). I don't remember now why I chose Uber over Seesmic... I did give them both a good try shortly after Seesmic launched. Hi Mike,
